Lisa Blaylock

LISA CHRISTINE BLAYLOCK never knew what it was like to become a artist, she was just made that way. Born and raised in Houston Texas, Lisa knew that one day she would be a singer while she imagined she was a dj on the radio. Exposed to a guitar through her grandfather Bob Davis, she started to gain a intrest into wanting a guitar for herself. Even though Lisa started learning music theory in junior high, she learned how to multi track record on a karaoke machine when she was only eight years old. At fourteen years old Lisa had already started her band Lluvia Dreams, recorded in professional studios as well as recorded herself, was on first complation CD by SuperPezHead Records, preforming in venues, taught herself as well as had lessons for multiple instruments and helping her fellow young high school friends out with gigs. In her young twenties she had performed so many shows and wrote so many songs that she lost count, it was around this time that she turned several major record labels down. 

                    Today you can find Lisa by googling her name, many links will pop up and you will probably ask yourself what does this artist not do. "I'm trying to gather all my skills together and put it together," says Lisa Blaylock, "I feel I am still a young artist with alot to learn." Sometimes Lisa enjoys oil painting, which she started doing when she was seventeen but you can also catch her painting with henna, producing and directing plays, hula hooping on her ankles while she plays guitar, dancing with FIRE, sketching portraits, making clothes, making posters, interning live sound, fixing guitars and more. For almost the past few years Lisa has become a dj and volunteers at 90.1fm KPFT, a real life local radio station as well and sometimes host events on behalf of the station.
